MQDC Partners with All Sectors to Launch the 'Sharing Happiness Project'

To Alleviate Hardships in Communities in Bangkok and Surrounding Provinces

 

 

 

  • Inviting those with goodwill to donate dry food and essential items through the 'Sharing Happiness' boxes starting today until June 30. This initiative is part of the 'Sharing Happiness Project' to combat COVID-19 by MQDC and its partners.

   

May 27, 2021, BangkokMr. Wisit Malaisirirat, CEO of Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Limited (MQDC), stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the public widely, affecting more people than any previous crisis. It has severely affected daily life due to the ongoing nationwide outbreak. Therefore, the company has initiated the 'Sharing Happiness Project', delivering care to combat COVID-19, in collaboration with MQDC and partners including CPF (Thailand) Public Company Limited, CP ALL Public Company Limited, CP RAM Company Limited, 101 True Digital Park, Carisma products, Le Pan products, Supattra Yaowarat Gold Shop, local administrative organizations in Sattahip, and the Royal Thai Navy. Together, they are conducting five social assistance activities for various communities across Bangkok, surrounding areas, and nearby provinces under the name 'Sharing Happiness Project' to combat COVID-19.

The activities include:

1. Happiness Caravan Activity - MQDC invites residents from all projects to bring food and essential items to donate at designated donation points located in 12 projects from May 24 to June 30, 2021. These projects include The Muse, Magnolias Southern California, Magnolias Ratchadamri Boulevard, Magnolias Waterfront Residences, The Residences at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, Whizdom@Punnawithi Station, Whizdom the Exclusive, Whizdom Station Ratchada-Thapra, Whizdom Avenue Ratchada-Ladprao, Whizdom Connect Sukhumvit, Whizdom Essence Sukhumvit, and Whizdom Inspire Sukhumvit.

MQDC will take all donated items to fill the 'Sharing Happiness' boxes located in communities in need, including field hospitals in Bangkok and surrounding areas.

 

2. Establishment of 'Sharing Happiness' Boxes - Starting with 20 boxes in the vicinity of the 12 residential projects mentioned above, these will serve as points for receiving, donating, and sharing food and essential items for those in need. Each box will have guidelines on health and safety practices to ensure proper use while maintaining social distancing.

    

3. Happiness Kitchen Activity - MQDC, in collaboration with 101 True Digital Park and CP RAM Company Limited, has set up a field kitchen under the concept 'Standing by Thai People, Caring Without Distance' to prepare clean, nutritious meals packaged for lunch and dinner, totaling 1,300 boxes per day from May 17 to 31, 2021, with over 20,000 boxes delivered to nearby communities such as Ladprao, Klongtoey, Samyan, Asoke, Phra Khanong, Bon Kai, and others.

 

4. Happiness Relief Bags Activity - MQDC will deliver relief bags containing dry food and essential items to communities near MQDC projects, including Ladprao, Klongtoey, Samyan, Asoke, Phra Khanong, Bangna, Bang Phlat, and Bon Kai, totaling over 5,000 bags starting from May 10, 2021.

 

5. Red Happiness Bags Activity - A collaboration between MQDC and the Research and Innovation Center for Sustainability (RISC) to reduce the risk of outbreaks in various communities and minimize infection risks for Bangkok personnel, such as waste collectors, by providing over 100,000 Red Zip-Lock bags to clearly separate infectious waste from general waste, enhancing community safety. The pilot community is Na Jomtien, Chonburi, and training will be provided on proper disposal of face masks to prevent them from entering the sea, starting from May 24, 2021.
